I so appreciate your willingness to help emerging writers. I hope you will also consider supporting emerging writers who are older and trying to launch a writing career. I would argue that DEI should include older adults since we are often marginalized and not afforded the opportunities we had when we were young.
As a single parent emerging writer living in the greater Philly area, this is absolutely incredible! Thank you, thank you! What an incredible way to pay it forward!
This is so so wonderful, generous, and needed for so many. Thank you Jennifer! I'm telling all the women writers accepted to my writing retreat, Turning Points, about it.
I hope you see some applicants from the Turning Points writing workshop that I run every October—I shared the exciting news about the fellowship with everyone attending. Thank you so much for your literary citizenship and generosity!
You've always been a beacon of light for writers, so kind, supportive, and funny. One of my favorite memories is seeing you in the band you were in with Amy Tan and Mitch Albom (I forget the name!). Being a former rock princess, that was a blast. Plus, my ex had just left after many years of marriage and I needed a boost. Tx for doing this for writers. I'm sure it'll transform lives. Friend from Philly, Debbie (Schubert) Shelton. 📚🎼😎🇮🇱🌈
Oh, I love this, and hope to apply! I remember reading Then Came You when I was in like...middle school. I was way too young for it, but it deeply resonated. Thank you for all you do.
How exciting, and benevolent! I am tripping over myself trying to find the application. Am I correct in thinking that it's not available yet, or am I missing something. If this is an IQ test, I have already failed. (:
Ooh! What a fantastic idea! I love the fact that some will be of color and some mothers too. It sounds like it will be a powerful and diverse group of women with complementary interests and backgrounds. Yay!
I’m late to the party at 79. Been writing for 40 years. Had a literary attorney agent for five years. She was a fan of my work and couldn’t sell my first book. The second people loved but still couldn’t sell. finally pubbed on Amazon myself. Did the same with my next three books. Going nowhere fast with less years left. First love reading and writing. They run neck and neck. Sometimes if not writing I read three books a week. Love your books, Jennifer. Your ancient fan. A West Virginia girl living in Grove City. OH. Barbara whittington
